Stovetender Balm
Woodstove-season balm for hands and skin
Splitting kindling, loading the firebox, banking the coals before bed. All winter the dry stove heat pulls moisture from your hands, and by January the knuckles feel it. Stovetender Balm is the rich, soothing tin we pour for hands and skin that live by the woodstove.
We infuse organic sweet almond oil with calendula and with wild plantain and wild yarrow we gather here in Alaska, then melt in organic shea butter, tamanu, rosehip seed and sea buckthorn oils. Beeswax sets the tin. Cedarwood, frankincense and copaiba give it a warm, woodsy scent, like a cabin with the fire going.
How to use
Warm a little between clean fingers. Smooth a thin layer on clean, dry hands and skin. Reapply as often as you like through the heating season. External cosmetic use only.
